My name is Émile Lewis, and welcome to my website
Here you will find information on my cartooning, voice work, historical writing, fiction, and any of my other projects.
I'm a member of the University of Mary Washington's Class of 2014, and I graduated with a BA in History. My senior research project was on tribal societies living in the 19th century Congo, but I have also written on topics as diverse as mediaeval Christian theology, feminism in postcolonial Islam, and the formation of the Mongol Empire.
In my spare time, I enjoy drawing cartoons, voice acting, and writing fiction.
The blog's title is my certified Pretentious Latin Motto, which roughly translates to 'march through the shadows so that you may dance in the light,' which is basically my life philosophy in a nutshell.
